Mattress Frame

Softside

A softside mattress is designed to resemble a traditional mattress in both appearance and function. It consists of a water-filled chamber or set of chambers encased in a supportive foam edge and covered with a quilted fabric top. This design allows the mattress to fit standard bed frames and use regular bedding, making it more versatile and easier to integrate into modern bedrooms.

Hardside

A hardside mattress is more traditional for waterbeds. It features a water-filled bladder supported by a rigid frame, usually made of wood. The sturdy outer frame is essential to maintain the shape and structure of the mattress, as the water alone cannot hold form.

An individual (mono) waterbed mattress should be adjusted to achieve the perfect comfort and support when a partner gets in or out. Read More.
